Summary

An informal field survey of Nepenthes habitats (see Figures 1 and 2) was accomplished during four separate trips to the areas around Mount Kinabalu (Sabah, Malaysia, in 2001, 2004, 2006, and 2007) and around the city of Kuching (Sarawak, Malaysia, in 2006). Measurements were made of soil pH and soil conductivity. Observations were made of soil characteristics, relative humidity, light levels, and other flora located with the Nepenthes plants.
